Tavana Farzaneh

for president. (she/her)

Hi, I’m Tavana (pronounced Tah-vuh-nuh)! I’m very excited to be a candidate for your next Student Government Association president! I’m an Economics major with a double minor in Social Justice and Spanish. I have also served in SGA for two full years.

I believe in my ability to serve as your SGA President because  I’m familiar with the frustrations that we feel across campus and I'm ready to lead the initiative for necessary change. While I can’t guarantee that we can solve every frustration, I can promise that we will advocate for you and we will take intentional action to amplify your voice.

With that being said, our platform is not an exhaustive list of improvements, expansions, or solutions. I want to hear from you! As a candidate for your SGA president, my goal is to serve as a true representative of the student body. If you would like to schedule a zoom meeting, please email us at! I would love to hear from you and/or meet you virtually!

The goal of the Farzaneh-Gray administration is to create feasible improvements across campus, maintain transparency within our campaign & our goals, and most of all, advocate on behalf of the student body. This is where we can start.

Every Thursday from 10 AM to 11 AM

Via Zoom

Alex Gray

for vice president. (she/her)

Hi! I’m Alex Gray! I am a junior majoring in Public Relations and Women’s and Gender Studies from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to run for SGA Vice President!

I am running to be your vice president because of my passion for the people of our OU community and my faith in the ability of students to make impactful change on and off campus. As students, we collectively have so much power and the ability to do so much good. Student government gives us the power to enact these changes for ourselves. We work together with the common goal of improving our OU experience, for one another and for those who will come after us. This is why I love SGA!

I firmly believe that Tavana and I have the knowledge, drive, and genuine love that is required in order to ensure that our student body is heard, understood and well-advocated for. We are more than just advocates, we are actively fighting for action-oriented, student led change. We hope you’ll join us!

Hello! My name is Cricket and I am the manager of this campaign. At OU, I study International Development Pre-Law, with minors in Art Management and Spanish.

I am from small-town Oklahoma, and my favorite thing about OU is the collective student-led effort to make Oklahoma a better place.

I joined the Farzaneh-Gray campaign because I have worked alongside Tavana and Alex in SGA, and have seen their true desire to transform OU into a better institution. We have been planning this for over a year now, and we can't wait to get started!

Hello all! My name is Lilly Amechi and I serve as the Executive Assistant for the Farzaneh-Gray ticket! I am majoring in Anthropology. I am from Vernon, Texas and my favorite thing about OU is the tight-knit community we all share and love. I joined the Farzaneh-Gray ticket because I truly believe in their mission and the tangible change they can bring to campus. In my first time meeting Tavanah and Alex, it was clear to me that they are passionate, driven people, who

truly care about others and what they can do to improve OU all students.
